Certificated by the British Institute of Innkeeping Awarding Body this level 1 qualification is especially designed to provide all staff that sell alcohol to the public with an up-to-date knowledge of their legal obligations under the new Licensing Act 2003.
Delivered within one day the course covers:
- The nature and effect of alcohol.
- Social responsibilites of alcohol retail.
- The protection of children from harm.
- Legal duties not to serve.
- How to recognise and prevent potential crimes
within a licensed premises.
- The penalties of complying with the law.
The course is assessed by a 25 multi-choice question paper. candidates must achieve 3 out of 3 in section 1 and a minimum of 14 out of 22 in section 2.
The qualification can be used to show due diligence by the Designated Premises Supervisor and is ideal for:
- Bar Staff.
- Waiter and Waitresses.
- Supermarket cashiers.
- Licensed shop workers.
