You will start day one with a general Health & Safety discussion moving onto an indepth discussion of the safety aspects for each of the tools used throughout the week. The first afternoon is spent designing the kitchen room and setting out ready for fixing of the kitchen units using lazer and spirit levels.
Day 2, you will be fitting all of the base units ensuring vertical and horizontal levels. The afternoon of day two and most of day three will be spent working on the base and wall units including cutting and fixing of fitter panels and assembling tray space unit which have to be built to suit the individual kitchen. Butt and Scribe cutting of fitter panels finishes day three.
Day 4 and Day 5 are mainly spent measuring and cutting of worktops, pelmets and plinths. The worktops are cut using routers and worktop jigs and also Skill saws and jig saws to cut sink and hob appertures. Finally the doors are fitted to show the correct fitting and adjusting procedures.
We teach a maximum of five people on this course to ensure full attention is given to each individual.
